  We have recently had our chalet bungalow extended by JW Thompson and Sons and we can only praise all the hard work they did for us. We watched them work on our friends house across the road last year and even though their quote came in slightly higher, we new we could trust them explicitly both with the work they completed and being free to come and go inside our home. With 2 small children in the house they even left our toilet for us too use right to the very end! They were considerate, professional, friendly, extremely tidy (if i wasnt at home during the day you wouldnt have known they were there come the evening) , organised and able to problem solve around some hiccups along the way (due to unforseen circumstances). We would gladly use Ivan and Jed again, they even liked my sons cups of tea!!

• Fantastic extension to a chalet bungalow

  I cannot recommend these builders enough. Their craftsmanship is faultless and they are polite and considerate. I had a large (complicated) extension completed by JW Thompson and sons, whilst living in the house with a 5 year old and a baby of six months. What could have been a complete nightmare was more than bearable (despite not having a toilet for awhile!). These guys were great with the kids and were extremely tidy. There aren't many people that I would trust my house keys with but I have to say that Ivan and his workmen fall into that category. Cost-wise, theirs wasn't the cheapest quote I received, but I think having children makes you more cautious. Also, my mother had some building work done by them so I knew they were reliable. In the case of JW Thompson and Sons Builders, you really do get what you pay for.
